The Lion King is a classic animated Disney story, centered around the life of a family of lions who rule over the Pride Lands of Africa. The king is initially Mufasa, who gives birth to a son named Simba. Mufasa's brother, Scar, is unhappy about Simba's birth because it puts Simba next in line for the throne rather than himself. A power struggle takes place, which forms the basis of the plot.The movie sets a good example for kids by teaching about the "circle of life", the idea that all living things depend on each other and that we should respect the other forms of life around us.
